List of Gov, NGO, Nonprofit, Social Enterprises & Other Philanthropies
We have created this list of organizations who deal with slums in India. This will make it easier for you to know your options for donating your time or money to help with this cause. This is not a complete list yet and this list is always being updated and expanded as we do more research. We have yet to do our own research into the operations of each of these organizations so please do your own research before donating or volunteering. We have not talked to anyone at any of these organizations below. They have not asked us or paid us to be a part of this list. We get no money if you donate to these organizations. We just wanted there to be one central easy place for people around the world to know what the issues are and who they can donate their money or time to. In the future we hope to volunteer with each of these organizations and interview these organizations and then write about our experiences and provide an extra layer of credibility.
In addition to expanding this list significantly, we will be updating it with additional important info such as which cities they operate in and if they are a local NGO or a foreign nonprofit. We would also like to make it into a proper searchable database because there will be hundreds if not thousands of organizations.
